It’s been an exciting week here at Smarsh!
To help fuel corporate growth, attract and cultivate top talent, and create more jobs in Oregon, we announced the opening of a new office in Eugene, Oregon.
The opening of this new office comes in partnership with venture capital firm Toba Capital, a Smarsh investor. We are one of the flagship members of Toba Capital’s technology accelerator, designed to help Toba companies easily access, train and retain top talent here in the local region.
The location of our new office in the Silicon Shire was largely chosen due to its proximity to the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Both Smarsh and Toba Capital expect to develop close ties with the surrounding universities, the Regional Accelerator and Innovation Network at the University of Oregon, and the Technology Association of Oregon in Eugene to foster opportunities for students and graduates interested in technology careers.
While we expect accelerated growth in 2016, we anticipate having 15 employees training and working in Eugene by the end of the year, primarily in sales and business development representative roles.
