Founder and Chairman
Stephen Marsh founded Smarsh in 2001. Under his leadership, Smarsh has grown to become the leader in the enterprise information archiving industry.
Before founding Smarsh, Stephen led product management and development efforts at CCBN, which is now a division of Thomson Financial, and spent time in key roles at Fidelity Investments and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
Stephen is actively involved in the Oregon technology community and mentors the founders of more than a dozen fast-growing companies. He was the recipient of the 2018 Technology Association of Oregon’s Sam Blackman Award, which honors Oregon’s top technology executive. In 2014, Stephen was named FTF News’ FinTech Person of the Year.
Stephen holds a degree in Information Management & Technology, Economics from Syracuse University.
Chief Executive Officer
Brian Cramer is the Chief Executive Officer at Smarsh. He is focused on improving the organization’s operations and growing its capacity to enhance customer experience.
Before joining Smarsh, Brian was the Chief Operating Officer at software company Granicus. There, he focused on customer support, professional services and acquisition integration. With more than 15 years’ experience, he has held various leadership positions in software and software-enabled businesses.
Brian believes that process and metrics are key to his business approach. He continuously looks for ways to help advance the business development and growth of Smarsh.
Brian holds degrees from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.
Chief Financial Officer
Barry Allen is the Chief Financial Officer at Smarsh. He leads the company’s finance and accounting operations. He has a proven track record in financial management and business modelling for high-growth enterprise software companies.
Before joining Smarsh, Barry worked at Portland-based JAMA software. At JAMA, he successfully led a business model shift from a traditional mid-market perpetual software licensing model to a scalable, high-growth, recurring-revenue SaaS licensing and platform company.
Prior to this, he held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer at advertising and licensing company Corbis.
Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Washington.
Chief Marketing Officer
Laurie Ehrbar is the Chief Marketing Officer at Smarsh. She focuses on expanding our U.S. footprint while also growing our presence and impact in other global markets.
In her role, Laurie is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the organization's marketing, public relations, and advertising initiatives.
Laurie is passionate about developing high-performing, collaborative teams that embrace the intersection of product vision and customer empathy.
Laurie brings over 20 years of marketing experience across companies both large and small. Before joining Smarsh, Laurie was the Chief Marketing Officer at Bizagi, an award-winning intelligent process automation company. While at Bizagi she transformed the way they spoke to the market by focusing on customer solutions and expanded their reach and brand awareness in current and emerging markets. Prior to Bizagi, Laurie built and launched the first global financial services industry strategy across marketing, sales, and partner organizations for ServiceNow.
Laurie also held marketing leadership positions at Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup, and TD Waterhouse.
Laurie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University.
Chief Customer Officer
Rohit Khanna is the Chief Customer Officer at Smarsh. His role is focused on supporting each of our clients to maximize customer satisfaction and ensuring that we enable the best outcomes for their businesses.
Rohit has a demonstrated track record of running global customer success and support services for cloud software providers - with customers ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Before joining Smarsh, Rohit was responsible for managing customer success and experience at multi-factor authentication software company SecureAuth. Prior to this, he worked for more than two decades in technology security.
Rohit holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco School of Management.
Chief Product Officer
Goutam Nadella is the Chief Product Officer at Smarsh. He focuses on turning emerging technologies into valuable, transformative solutions for our clients.
In his role, Goutam guides the product development strategy and helps tailor Smarsh solutions for different segments, both large and small, of a global market. He brings a deep understanding of technology and capital markets and a passion for designing, developing, and bringing innovative products to market.
Goutam started his career at Goldman Sachs as a product manager, where he led and managed the design and development of various products across all aspects of electronic trading. He then served formative senior executive roles at REDI, a Goldman Sachs spinoff, and Symphony, a leading secure, cloud-based communication, and content sharing platform company. At both companies, he drove the development of new solutions from inception and scaled them to successful business.
Goutam holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Engineering from The University of Illinois at Chicago.
Chief Revenue Officer
As the Chief Revenue Officer at Smarsh, Tom Padgett leads revenue-generating departments to drive customer growth, expand market share and build strategic partnerships. He is focused on achieving operational and strategic alignment across all revenue-building functions. Tom specializes in building a framework and culture of high performance to achieve these goals.
Tom comes to Smarsh from SAP where, most recently, he held the position of SVP and General Manager of Ariba. Prior to that, he held roles that included SVP and Head of Leonardo & Analytics, as well as COO of Analytics. Tom joined SAP following his previous success scaling similar B2B organizations to impressive compound annual growth rates of 40% and higher.
He also served as Group Vice President at Oracle after it acquired BigMachines, where he was SVP for Worldwide Sales and Alliances.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University Bloomington.
Chief Operating Officer
Suzanne Rudnitzki is the Chief Operating Officer at Smarsh and leads the Legal and Information Security, Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Diversity & Inclusion and Facilities teams. She originally joined Smarsh in 2018 as the company’s first Chief People Officer, and works to ensure our more than 800 employees are in the best environment to succeed.
Prior to joining Smarsh, Suzanne was the Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at health services organization Telecare Corporation. She has also worked as a consultant for Xerox, facilitated international entrepreneurial leadership training for Procter & Gamble, and developed HR training curricula for clients including Nissan, General Motors, Herman Miller and Magna International.
As the author of Not So Basic New Hire Orientation, Suzanne has appeared as a keynote speaker for organizations such as Hospital Purchasing Services, High Point National Furniture Mart, and the Color Marketing Council.
Suzanne has a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management, Advertising, Fine Arts and Pre-Law from Western Michigan University.
Chief Technology Officer
Greg Vesper is the Chief Technology Officer at Smarsh. He focuses on converting the emerging technologies that drive business, into successful solutions for our clients. In his role, Greg build teams to operationalize new solutions and champion agile product development. He is also in charge of strategic product management and ensures that Smarsh can deliver real-time value to rapidly evolving markets.
Greg started his career in science innovation at NASA, where he pioneered the internet’s first system of B2B electronic commerce. He then worked with several large software companies to build innovative B2B platforms, including Premenos and Cyclone Commerce. Greg has built big data cloud platforms for healthcare, logistics and financial services companies.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts from The Catholic University of America.
Country Head, India
Sridhar Vutukuri leads the Smarsh operation in India, based in Bangalore. He is responsible for product development, cloud operations, information technology, engineering support services and building and running high-value engineering operations.
Over the past 30 years, Sridhar has held numerous engineering management roles and has substantial experience in product development and services across many industries, including enterprise software, finance, banking, security, defense and aerospace.
Before he joined Smarsh, Sridhar was the Head of Tumbleweed Communications’ subsidiary in India, where he successfully built and established a key engineering division for the company. Prior to this, Sridhar was Head of India Operations and Vice President of Engineering for internet-based payment systems company CyberCash India Pvt. Ltd., where he was responsible for technical direction, R&D, recruitment and external communications.
Sridhar holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SVU College of Engineering in Tirupati, India.
