Joe Torre
One of the Greatest Managers in Baseball History
With four World Series titles as the manager of the New York Yankees to his name, Joe Torre is widely regarded as one of the most successful baseball managers of all time. The Hall of Fame skipper also had a remarkable 18-season playing career, which included the 1971 NL MVP Award and nine All-Star Game appearances. From 2011-2020, Torre worked for Major League Baseball as Chief Baseball Officer, overseeing on-field operations, discipline and umpiring. He has co-authored three books: The Yankee Years, Chasing the Dream: My Lifelong Journey to the World Series, and Joe Torre’s Ground Rules for Winners: 12 Keys to Managing Team Players, Tough Bosses, Setbacks, and Success. Torre is the Chairman of the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, which he and his wife, Ali, launched in 2002. The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation's mission is to develop educational programs that will end the cycle of domestic violence and save lives. Torre currently resides in the Greater New York City area.

Kim Crawford Goodman

Kim Crawford Goodman is the Chief Executive Officer at Smarsh. She is focused on scaling the organization’s operations and capacity to deliver an extraordinary customer experience. Before joining Smarsh, Kim was the Head of Payments and Risk Solutions at Fiserv, Inc., a Fortune 500 company. There, she provided executive leadership for the company’s bill payment, prepaid, and financial and risk management solutions businesses, with additional accountability for digital payments. With more than 25 years’ experience, she has held key leadership positions with many of the largest brands across financial services and technology, including American Express, Worldpay US, Dell, and Bain & Company. <Kim has extensive experience with global, complex businesses, requiring strategic customer relationships, a deep understanding of critical business drivers, and effective engagement of a large, distributed workforce. Kim holds degrees from Stanford University and the Harvard Business School.

Goutam Nadella

Goutam Nadella is the Chief Product Officer at Smarsh. He focuses on turning emerging technologies into valuable, transformative solutions for our clients. In his role, Goutam guides the product development strategy and helps tailor Smarsh solutions for different segments, both large and small, of a global market. He brings a deep understanding of technology and capital markets and a passion for designing, developing, and bringing innovative products to market. Goutam started his career at Goldman Sachs as a product manager, where he led and managed the design and development of various products across all aspects of electronic trading. He then served formative senior executive roles at REDI, a Goldman Sachs spinoff, and Symphony, a leading secure, cloud-based communication, and content sharing platform company. At both companies, he drove the development of new solutions from inception and scaled them to successful business. Goutam holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Engineering from The University of Illinois at Chicago.

Tom Padgett

Tom Padgett is the General Manager of the Smarsh Enterprise business. He previously served as Chief Revenue Officer for Smarsh between 2020 and 2022. Tom came to Smarsh from SAP where, most recently, he held the position of SVP and General Manager of Ariba. Prior to that, he held roles that included SVP and Head of Leonardo & Analytics, as well as COO of Analytics. Tom joined SAP following his previous success scaling similar B2B organizations to impressive compound annual growth rates of 40% and higher. He also served as Group Vice President at Oracle after it acquired BigMachines, where he was SVP for Worldwide Sales and Alliances. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University Bloomington.

Brandon Carl is Executive Vice President of Product Strategy at Smarsh, where he oversees the company's competitive and commercial strategy across the Enterprise product portfolio. Brandon previously served as Digital Reasoning's Chief Product Officer and Head of Engineering, where he conceived and brought to market Cognition, the company's acclaimed AI Platform, co-created their Applied Machine Learning team, and led the Applied Research team. He spent the first half of his career working in the capital markets, initially in interest rate derivative sales at Bank of America before moving to global macroeconomics and trend forecasting at Nomura Securities.

Blane Warrene serves as Vice President of Product Management at Smarsh, responsible for the delivery of the Capture portfolio of products. He has spent his career in financial services at the intersection of compliance and technology, working in progressive technical and management roles for CBIZ, ING, Pacific Life and others. He also founded and sold a social media archiving solution built for financial services. Blane lives and works in the Research Triangle in North Carolina as well as serving as a Board Member for the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum.

Allen Brandt

Allen is an attorney who has merged his technical skills with delivering practical data protection and privacy advice to his in-house clients. He brings extensive data privacy subject matter expertise along with experience in the technology and information industries to work with businesses and policy makers to form practical solutions for today’s global data economy. His experience includes integrating privacy awareness and implementation throughout an organization. He created policies for IT and cloud computing, research standards, device and social media, and privacy training, in addition to executive level briefings on the impact of existing and proposed privacy regulations. He is the author of a number of industry rules enhancing confidentiality and security of data that are required by thousands of firms. Allen is a frequent industry speaker due to his extensive global experience and to illustrate how data protection and security can be implemented into organizations of all sizes. Allen is a CIPP and a Fellow in Information Privacy from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. with experience in data protection and privacy both domestically and internationally. He was also the Director of the GMAC MET Fund, a philanthropic effort to address current issues impacting graduate management and graduate business education and oversaw the awarding of over USD $10 million in global education grants.

Anthony Karoleski

Anthony is a Director serving as Head of E-Communications Surveillance within Surveillance, Monitoring & Testing. He is an E-Communications Surveillance expert with over 20 years experience including voice and E-Communications at both Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. In his previous role as the Americas Communications Surveillance Lead at Deutsche Bank, Anthony was responsible for management of the Americas region surveillance program, inclusive of strategic projects and initiatives related to the voice and e-communications surveillance program. Anthony led implementations across electronic and voice communications surveillance platforms using next generation technologies. Additionally, Anthony led training of first line and second line team members to improve investigation skills and their identification of red flags. Other responsibilities included, coordinating and responding to all regulatory inquiries regarding the firm’s communications surveillance program, assessing all firm applications and communications initiatives for compliance with regulatory retention and surveillance obligations, performing supervisory reviews of alerts for accuracy by surveillance team members and developing new surveillances, as required. Prior to that, Anthony managed the Americas Team of Compliance Officers at Goldman Sachs Group across the Jersey City and Salt Lake City offices with coverage of the Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Services, Human Resources, Legal and Audit divisions. Anthony launched an E-Surveillance program for coverage areas, inclusive of proactive email-based controls for higher risk teams to minimize on data leakage events and served as the Program Manager and Working Group Chair of the firm’s Regulatory Voice Recording Program. Anthony led conduct related investigations and also managed Compliance Division’s efforts to ensure compliance with the new GDPR regulation.

Rob Mara

Rob Mara is a New York-based Principal in Ernst & Young’s consulting practice who leads the Risk & Regulatory Compliance Technology and Operations practice. He has over 20 years of experience in the industry, serving capital markets, retail, asset management, and banking clients in the areas of sanctions, AML, brokerage compliance, enterprise compliance, reporting, and fraud management as well as engagements with self-regulatory organizations and regulators.
Rob has led assessments and transformation projects across multiple aspects of regulatory compliance programs for large, global, regional, and specialty banks and other non-bank financial institutions in response to regulatory mandates, annual assessments, and program improvement initiatives. These have included institutions regulated by a variety of US and foreign regulators including the OCC, FRB, FDIC, FINRA, SEC, CFTC, HKMA, MAS, IIROC, FCA, AUSTRAC, OSFI and multiple other agencies.
Rob’s more recent experience includes evaluating and mitigating the impact of new technologies and products in the compliance and risk space.

Al Park

Al Park specializes in the oversight of technology solutions to address risk
and compliance for global corporations and firms. He brings more than 20
years of experience leading organizations in heavily regulated sectors in
emerging technologies, data and digital trends, with a specialization in
industries including financial services, energy, life sciences and technology.
Mr. Park is focused on working closely with legal departments, compliance
officers and information technology leaders to build new capabilities and
offerings that mitigate risk and strengthen compliance through technology
and data.
Mr. Park advises compliance, legal and business functions with approaches to building
custom applications and solutions-focused platforms that provide visual reporting and
information access. He also advises multinational organizations on how to apply business
intelligence, data management and data analytics best practices in compliance and
regulatory reporting. Mr. Park has supported clients with independent DOJ monitorships,
understanding new regulatory-driven requirements and instilling appropriate governance
and best practices across people, process and technology.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Park was the Global Technology Consulting leader for an
international risk consultancy, Control Risks. He supported numerous international
investigations, DOJ/SEC matters, civil/criminal actions involving global companies and
worked with legal and compliance clients throughout North America, Latin America,
Europe, Africa and Asia. He was formerly the Managing Director in charge of Data Analytics
and Custom Solutions at Navigant Consulting, specializing in litigation and disputes. Prior to
Navigant, Mr. Park was a leader in various technology consultancies and a co-founder of
high growth businesses. He started his career working in strategy, finance and economic
matters involving complex litigation and government enforcement for KPMG LLP in New
York and Arthur Andersen LLP in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.
